Using social media

Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube: The University of Siegen has several official social media presences.

Would you like us to share your Facebook post or publish your event, an info text or a news item on our official University of Siegen channels? Feel free to send us the key points, photos or ideas for your topic. It's impossible for us to get everything at the university and we look forward to your input.

Our goal: We want to reach as many people as possible with our posts and generate a high level of interaction with our content. That means:

  • We increasingly rely on visual content, e.g. info text in pictures, short videos, photos.
  • We freely implement your suggestions and adapt them to the specific characteristics of the respective channel (e.g. short texts, hashtags).
  • We make sure that the University of Siegen has a concise face on all channels: Our corporate social identity is based on the brand values of the University of Siegen. We are down-to-earth, friendly, cheerful and human. We are competent in all areas of university life and close to the students. We are also funny and self-deprecating and have no problem making fun of ourselves from time to time. Our language is relaxed.
  • We don't publish two posts in quick succession. The earlier you let us know, the more likely it is that your topic will fit into our schedule.
