InnovKI research project

How are companies in the DACH region using artificial intelligence to further develop their business models? What opportunities are emerging for innovation, digitalization and transformation?

The InnovKI research project deals with these questions. We investigate how companies integrate artificial intelligence into products, services and processes and what new forms of value creation emerge as a result.

The focus is on the organizational capabilities of companies, specific forms of AI application and their impact on competitiveness and company performance.

Project description

InnovKI is a joint research project of the University of Siegen and the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. The aim is to understand how companies strategically use artificial intelligence to drive innovation and further develop their business models in a targeted manner.

The focus is on key organizational capabilities, such as business model innovation and AI-related skills and resources. We analyze how these factors shape the success of companies and what role AI plays in the value proposition, value creation and value appropriation.

The study is aimed at companies throughout the DACH region. Through a broad sample, we gain a differentiated picture of current practices, challenges and success factors around AI-supported innovation.
