About this project

This website was developed as part of a research project at the Chair of Solid Mechanics at the School of Science and Technology (Faculty IV) of the University of Siegen. Our aim is to record and analyze the radon concentration in outdoor air and make it accessible for research and teaching.

Our measurement concept

Using a self-designed fan control system, the air is pumped cyclically into a hermetically sealed measuring box specially built for the experiment. The collected data is processed in real time and can be visualized and analysed via this platform. This enables both research and awareness-raising on the subject of radon and radiation protection
