Research profile

The "Theology and Exegesis of the Old Testament" is linked to interreligious courses on the world religions as well as specific seminars and courses that deal with topics from the Old Testament in relation to students' lives today. The academic exploration of the Old Testament texts using the method of exegesis is always at the center of this. This method draws on the religious, social and cultural history of Judaism and the ancient Near Eastern and Mediterranean environment of the Old Testament in order to gain biblical knowledge.
