VIRTUAL PRIVATE NETWORK
Note: Currently, the use of eduVPN is still optional. You can continue to use OpenVPN (in parallel). However, we recommend switching over soon, as OpenVPN will be shut down later this year.
A VPN (Virtual Private Network) offers the possibility to connect to the network of the University of Siegen from a foreign network (e.g. from home) in a tap-proof and tamper-proof manner.
Access is via the free, open-source-based software solution eduVPN.
