"The Mathematics Department in Siegen is a relatively small one. This is a major advantage for students: the doors to the offices are always open. It’s rarely necessary to make an appointment for an office hour. You can simply drop by to see the faculty or their staff whenever you have questions.

Important Information
Template (Cover Page and Declaration of Originality) [available in .doc and .tex formats from the Registrar’s Office upon request via email]
- The thesis should not exceed 60 pages.
- The completion period is 6 months.
- The title must match the title submitted with the registration.
Three (3) bound copies (no spiral or staple binding) of the thesis must be received by the Examinations Office by the deadline, and an electronic version must also be submitted. Please send this as a PDF file via email to pruefungsamt@mathematik.uni-siegen.de.
(If there is a restriction on public access, please contact the Registrar’s Office in advance).
The thesis must be available at the Office of Academic Affairs by the final submission date; this also applies to submissions sent by mail.

The Mathematics and Physics Department
The Department Student Councils (FSRe) provide representation of interests at the department level—in our case, for the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Mathematics and Physics. We represent the interests and concerns of students in our department both internally (students, faculty council, dean’s office, faculty) and externally (the general public). So, when you come to the office, you can expect to see your fellow students there.
