The Central Student Advisory Service offers pupils various opportunities to gain an insight into everyday life at university. From one-day workshops to taster courses lasting several weeks - the offer is diverse.

Student for one day

Student for one day can be used by schools in grades Q1 and Q2 to support study orientation and give interested pupils a brief insight into student life.

The university internship can be used by schools from grade Q1
to give interested pupils a detailed
insight into student life.
The university internship should be a mixture of guided activities
and personal initiative.

Taster course

The taster course provides an insight into everyday student life at university. Attending lectures, seminars and tutorials can be a great help for pupils when choosing a course of study. Many prospective students use this opportunity to make a choice between several degree courses or to get a taste of university life. The Central Student Advisory Service offers a list of courses for each semester.

Become a school student

Pupils who show particular talent can, in individual cases, study at the University of Siegen as so-called "young students" in selected courses while still at school and provide proof of performance.

Study orientation weeks

The aim is to pave the way to university for pupils and help them choose the right degree program for them. Schools present their degree programs in lectures. Other events provide information on topics such as financing your studies, studying abroad, studying with a university entrance qualification, etc.

In the summer, shortly before the application deadline and the start of enrolment, prospective students can clarify any final questions about their choice of degree course in lectures and discussions.

Talent scouting

NRW Talent Scouting aims to overcome predetermined biographies through individual and continuous support. The talent scouts encourage talented individuals, work with them to develop visions for the future, point out paths, create helpful networks and open up access to existing support instruments in the education system.
