Your future begins in Siegen
Here you can combine theory and practice right from the start. You will study for a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and gain scientific knowledge in this field. At the same time, you put what you have learned into practice in the company and earn your first salary. Working in practice makes it much easier for you to understand the course content. This combination offers you excellent career prospects afterwards. The dual study program is structured like a conventional Bachelor's degree. However, the first two semesters are "stretched" to four semesters.
After completing study section II and entering the specialization course (study section III), the vocational training is also fully completed. An examination is taken before the HWK / IHK.

Career prospects
Based on the UN's 17 global sustainability goals, the "German Sustainability Strategy" sets targets for the sustainable protection of people, the climate and nature. However, achieving these goals requires the work of innovative engineers. For example, civil engineers deal with the construction and use of energy-efficient buildings and infrastructure, the development of sustainable transport concepts including environmentally friendly building materials, the effects of climate change and forecasts on its development, the problem of flooding, the avoidance of environmental emissions and waste disposal and thus create the tools without which sustainable development is unthinkable.
