Students on the European Business Communication degree program

I chose the program because of its international orientation
I chose the Bachelor's degree course in European Business Communication (EWK) because of its international focus and the integrated stay abroad at the partner university in Orléans, France. Although many degree courses now offer the opportunity to study abroad for a period of time through mobility programs such as Erasmus, EWK has a number of advantages. The courses are predefined and can therefore be credited much more easily. In addition to Erasmus, there is also financial support from the Franco-German University.
The courses during the Bachelor's degree course give students an insight into very different subject areas such as linguistics, economics and cultural studies. With the compulsory elective area, I was able to place an additional focus on the European Union. The contact with the French students and the good networking of all students in the degree program in the alumni association was another great advantage. The exchange and mutual support was very helpful for the stay abroad and generally a great enrichment. We also always enjoyed the intercultural exchange with other Erasmus students in Orléans.
Overall, I was able to significantly improve my French and English skills during my studies in EWK and get to know lots of great people. With the practical language courses in French and the contact with native speakers in Orléans and later also in Siegen, I was able to significantly expand my school knowledge and can now very well imagine continuing my studies, at least in part, in France and also working there. I can only recommend EWK to anyone interested in French and France!
The degree program is admission-restricted, so you must apply for a place. You must also register with hochschulstart.de.
A prerequisite for admission is proof of special language skills (level B2 for French and English), which is generally proven by the school entrance qualification. It is strongly recommended, although not mandatory, that you take a language test before starting your studies, which serves as a basis for a subsequent consultation with prospective students and teachers.
