Department of Business Didactics

The Department of Economics Didactics sees itself as an interface between subject-specific science and subject-specific didactics as well as between university research and teaching on the one hand and school practice on the other. The didactic focal points of the two professorships are organized under the umbrella of the Center for Economic Education in Siegen (ZÖBIS). At the Center, subject specialists who are familiar with the current state of economic research work closely with seconded teachers and academic staff with practical experience in the school sector. This interdisciplinary interaction gives ZÖBIS a unique profile in economics education in Germany.
