One Button Recording Studio (OBR)
Whether you want to record podcasts, screencasts or other video and audio formats - the OBR allows you to create professional media content at the touch of a button.
ZIMT offers an innovative solution for the simple production of media content (e.g. for blended learning or presentations) in its AR-X building: the One Button Recording Studio, or OBR for short.
Teaching materials made easy
The OBR enables uncomplicated video recording without time-consuming preparation and is therefore ideal for podcasts, screencasts and other audio and video formats for research, teaching and administration. You simply connect your own laptop and can start immediately.
A studio microphone and a 4K tracking webcam are available for audio and video quality. Recordings are made using the preconfigured OBS Studio software, which supports various recording formats:

Screencast: Records the screen content of your own laptop - ideal for presentations, software demos or instructional videos.

Picture in Picture (PiP): Combines the screen recording with a small webcam overlay so that the person presenting remains visible at the same time.

Videocast: A classic video recording in which only the camera is used - perfect for interviews, speeches or teaching content without a screen presentation.
Media Production will be happy to support you with the introduction to the software and the completion of your videos.
Please note: Costs may be incurred for productions outside regular office hours.
How does it work?
The studio can be booked during regular opening hours from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. To do so, please contact the ZIMT Support Desk at support@zimt.uni-siegen.de.
