Bach and Handel Evening

Students from the Institute of Music will perform selected works by George Frideric Handel and Johann Sebastian Bach, two of the great masters of Central German Baroque music. In addition to solo performances, they have formed small ensembles. The program includes, among other pieces, some of the “Nine German Arias,” selected movements from the Suite in D Major for 2 trumpets and organ, sonata movements for flute and basso continuo, and two chorales from the St. John Passion.
