To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls, the Department of Equal Opportunity at the University of Siegen and the Siegen-Wittgenstein Office for Gender Equality invite you to a reading with author Veronika Kracher.
Reading in honor of Orange Day 2026
“Bitch Hunt” shows how deeply misogyny is entrenched in our society—and why it’s becoming increasingly visible and mainstream online. Veronika Kracher analyzes digital smear campaigns, anti-feminist movements, and the role of social media in spreading misogyny. A sharp analysis of who benefits from misogyny—and what it does to our democracy.
The event is open to anyone interested; admission is free. The reading is organized by the Equal Opportunity Office at the University of Siegen and the Siegen-Wittgenstein Equal Opportunities Officer in cooperation with FUSION LAB and the LehramtPLUS certificate program. It is funded by the Ministry for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Refugees, and Integration of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
