College always costs a lot of money. In addition to tuition and fees, many students also have to cover rent and living expenses. Here, we’ll introduce you to a few financing options. There are also various financing options available for families.

The AStA offers regular, free legal counseling. Sign up and speak with our attorney. You can schedule an appointment for free legal counseling using our scheduling tool. You have the option to request a refund of part of the semester fee—specifically, the mobility fee for the semester ticket (currently €222.80), including the solidarity euro (€4)—for a total of €226.80 at this time.
The current “hardship regulation” sets forth the conditions under which you are eligible for a refund. In cases of doubt, the Hardship Commission will make the final decision.

Having family responsibilities comes with a special set of challenges and requires significantly more organization than just managing your class schedule. Whether it’s financial problems, childcare issues, or emotional stress, these are all areas where we can help you. We maintain contact with organizations such as Pro Familia and will do everything we can to make it easier for you to plan your studies while raising a child.
