Welcome to the Didactics of Physics!

The physics didactics department houses the estate of the well-known physics didact Wilfried Kuhn in the Kuhn Library. Further books, including historical works such as the "Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica" by Issac Newton, can be found in the catalog of Siegen University Library.

With funding from the REACT-EU program, the student laboratory of the physics didactics/geography department and the university observatory is creating innovative, realistic and attractive digital offerings. This will make it possible to adapt existing offerings to the rapid spread of digital technologies and integrate them into the teaching-learning process. In particular, the project addresses topics at the interface of physics, environmental sciences, astronomy and geography and opens up new possibilities for measurements, data collection and mapping in the field as well as new forms of offerings from the university observatory using digital means.
