There are many ways to support research and teaching at the University of Siegen: You can either provide funding to individual students, doctoral candidates, or established researchers, or you can offer more structural support for specific degree programs, research areas, and knowledge transfer activities.
Formally, there are several ways to do this; the most important are:

Donations
Here, you specify the purpose for which you wish to donate. Your contribution—whether in the form of cash, securities, or real estate—will be used exclusively for the purpose agreed upon with you.

Endowments
Endowments pursue a specific purpose and use only the income generated by the endowment capital to achieve it. They are therefore designed to be long-term. You can establish your own endowment with us or increase the endowment capital of existing endowments with your contribution.

Endowed Professorships
With your help, the University of Siegen can establish endowed professorships. These are professorships dedicated to a field of research that is particularly close to your heart. Together with the university, you can define the scope of the professorship; the university will then fill the position through a standard appointment process.

Sponsorship
In the case of sponsorship, a contract is signed between your company and the university. Both parties are publicly recognized as partners and benefit from the mutual enhancement of their respective images.
