Coaching for Postdocs

The need for guidance as a postdoc is not unusual, as it is not uncommon for scientists at this stage of their careers to wonder what will happen when their fixed-term contract expires, what paths within and outside academia are open to them for their future careers, and how they can prepare specifically for the next steps in their careers. In order to better support postdocs employed at the University of Siegen in clarifying these and other questions, the House of Young Talents offers coaching by professional external coaches on topics such as profile strengthening, career planning, and work-life balance. The coaching sessions are individually tailored to the needs of interested postdocs and take into account the specifics of an academic career as well as – if desired – non-academic career paths.
