Dear Students,
We would like to cordially invite you to the annual teacher training meeting on June 17, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Teacher Education Learning Workshop (AR-D 7104).
You are likely already familiar with annual meetings from your other courses. Here, students and faculty from a degree program come together to discuss what has worked well, what can be improved, and/or where specific problems lie. Topics that affect teacher education as a whole, across all degree programs, do not always find their place in these discussions. With the annual teacher education meeting, we (the staff of the ZLB) would therefore like to offer you a space to discuss with us interdisciplinary topics as well as structural and organizational challenges in your studies. Your feedback and input are essential for us to understand where things are going well for you and where unintended obstacles are getting in your way. Only by working together with you can we continue to improve the teacher education program at the University of Siegen.
This year, in addition to more general topics, we would like to focus on the topic of substitute teaching during your studies. Are you currently working as a substitute teacher, or are you considering it? What experiences have you had, and how has this work affected your studies (in terms of academic organization and your perception of the program)?
We would like to discuss these and other questions with you and give you the opportunity to share your thoughts.
