Venia Legendi for Dr. Alla Machulska
Dr. Alla Machulska was awarded the Venia Legendi in Psychology at the University of Siegen in April 2026. The Dean of Schools II, Professor Eckes, presented her with the certificate during the Faculty Council meeting in a ceremony on behalf of the Board.
With this award, the Schools acknowledges Dr. Machulska's academic achievements in research and teaching and also grants her a teaching license for the subject of psychology.
Dr. Machulska joined the Department of Psychology at the University of Siegen in 2018 and works in the field of clinical psychology and psychotherapy. She submitted her habilitation thesis entitled "From Target to Treatment: A Translational Approach to Advancing Psychotherapy Research through Cognitive Bias Assessment and Modification in Substance Use" to Schools II in 2025; it was successfully reviewed.
As part of the habilitation process, Dr. Machulska also gave a lecture followed by a colloquium on the topic of "Fundamentals of emotion regulation and its significance for clinical practice".
The Schools II would like to congratulate Dr. Machulska on this important academic milestone.
