On the Digital Engineering - Mechatronics course, you will learn how mechanical, electronic and digital components work together. You will develop systems that can see, think and act - from sensor technology to AI.
Your degree course combines:
- Mechanics, electrical engineering and control engineering - as the basis for mechatronic systems,
- Computer science & AI - with programming, algorithms, machine learning and software engineering,
- Mathematical skills such as: Analysis, Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Numerics.
You will study in a project-oriented, practical and interdisciplinary way - with applications in robotics, autonomous mobility or industrial automation, for example.

Your expertise in mechatronics, software and AI will open up a wide range of opportunities for you - for example in

You will be in demand wherever smart technology is created - in industry, development departments or research. A Master's degree is also possible - with the focus that suits you.
At least 8 weeks of basic work placement before the start of the course: getting to know materials and their machinability, gaining an overview of production facilities and manufacturing processes and experiencing the social side of the work process. The internship is recognized by the Internship Office, must be completed before starting the Bachelor's degree course and must be proven by the end of the 3rd semester.
At least 6 weeks of specialist internship during your studies: Supplement and deepen the knowledge acquired during your studies by working in various operational areas and an initial introduction to engineering practice.
