The supplementary subject Digital Media & Technologies is aimed at you if you want to learn more about digital media, apps, social media, algorithms, smart home/city, big data or artificial intelligence. The focus is on questions such as how social media are transforming our societies and economies, how media are collecting more and more data about us and how autonomous technologies are shaping our living and working environments. The course combines theoretical and historical perspectives in current and own research projects.

The supplementary subject Digital Media and Technologies ideally complements your core subject if you want to explore digital media with project-based learning. In your own research projects, you will acquire knowledge and skills that will open up job prospects in areas such as data analysis, marketing, digital start-ups or digital journalism.
The supplementary subject can only be chosen in conjunction with a core subject in study models B and D of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities!
