TalkTuning: Individual Practice and Feedback Sessions on Scientific Presentations

Good presentations are part of everyday academic life – whether at conferences, colloquia, job interviews, or thesis defences. The quality of a presentation has a significant influence on how comprehensible research is, how convincing the results are, and how confident the presentation appears at crucial moments. However, not everyone has a suitable audience for focused preparation: people who listen, ask (critical) questions, and provide constructive feedback.

Contents of the Counselling

With our current offering, we create precisely this space. In an individual session, you have the opportunity to practise your presentation in a protected environment and receive well-founded feedback tailored to your needs. Whether it is structure, comprehensibility, visualisation, argumentation or personal appearance – you decide which aspects we focus on. This offer is designed to help you approach your next presentation situation with confidence, clarity and good preparation.

When registering, please indicate in the comments field of our registration form what type of presentation you are planning (conference paper, dissertation defence, etc.), when the presentation will take place, and when you would like to schedule a consultation. We will then get back to you with specific date suggestions. Which member of the HYT team will conduct the counselling with you will be decided based on professional suitability.

Prior registration is required.
