Application for our degree programs

Bachelor's degree programs

No application is required for a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. You can use our enrollment portal
to enrol directly in the degree program.

Master's degree programs

You can be admitted to a Master's degree course in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Mechatronics if you have a relevant professionally qualifying university degree or an equivalent first professionally qualifying degree. These can be, for example Bachelor of Science, Diplom (FH) or Diplom in a short-term degree program at a comprehensive university (D1). The examination board decides on admission to the Master's program.

If you are a foreign student, please note the following information:

  • If you can provide proof of German and English language skills, you are free to choose the specialization or course variant. You can choose from the following:

    • for Computer Science: Embedded Systems, Visual Computing, Complex and Intelligent Software Systems or Medical Informatics
    • for Electrical Engineering: Automation Technology, Communications Technology or Electronics Design and Technology.

  • If you can only provide proof of English language skills, the following specializations or degree program options are open to you:

    • for Computer Science: Embedded Systems or Visual Computing
    • for Electrical Engineering: Communications Technology or Electronics Design and Technology.

  • To prove your German language skills, you must have passed the "German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education" (DSH) with a minimum score of DSH-2. Alternatively, the Goethe-Zertifikat C2: Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom (GDS), the "Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache" (TestDaF) with a TDN 4 in all 4 parts of the exam and the telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule exam are recognized.
  • English language skills must be proven at level B2 of the CEFR, or (depending on the degree program) at the level of a TOEFL iBT of at least 87-88 or an IELTS of 6.0-6.5.
