Digital Diversity Guide

Dear colleagues, dear students, dear lecturers and researchers, dear employees

At our university, people with very different life stories, backgrounds, talents and perspectives come together. We see this diversity not only as a strength - it is our shared opportunity to explore new paths together, to be creative and to learn from each other.

But together with this diversity, we also have a responsibility to prevent discrimination and disadvantage in any form. To do this, we must take into account the diversity of our students and staff when designing the working environment, teaching and studying, as well as advising and support. This is precisely where the Digital Diversity Guide comes in.

It is a compact and needs-based digital guide for university staff on how to deal with various dimensions of diversity. Its primary purpose is to enable teaching staff, students and employees in technology and administration to quickly find the right contact person within the university for their individual circumstances and specific questions with the help of the "Diversity Guide". In addition, the Diversity Guide provides an immediate overview of all target group-specific and diversity-oriented information, support and services at our university.

We hope that this will provide you with pointed support for your day-to-day work, teaching and advisory activities and thus contribute to a more open, informed and solution-oriented approach to diversity in studies, teaching and administration.

Yours sincerely

Prof. Dr. Petra M. Vogel (Prorector for Students, Diversity and International Affairs)
Katharina Miketta (Diversity Policies Officer)
