The most important information
for vocational qualification activity III (BQT III)
Students complete vocationally qualifying activities over the course of two semesters. The order of the BQT III modules 2KLIMA08 and 2KLIMA09 can be swapped as desired.
Information on the preferred internship must be provided at the beginning of the degree program.
Time: The professional qualification takes place during the third and fourth semesters of study.
Duration: Students work for a total of 600 hours in a psychotherapeutic professional field.
2KLIMA08 (Partial) inpatient care: The internship takes place in a psychiatric (partial) inpatient facility. The duration is 450 hours. For this purpose, cooperating clinics have been acquired that offer the students internship places and various models of internship organization.
2KLIMA09 Outpatient care: 150 hours are completed in an outpatient psychotherapeutic facility. The internship usually takes place in the outpatient clinic of the University of Siegen.
Report: A further 30 hours are estimated for the accompanying reading of literature and the preparation of an internship report. In this report, the internship experience is reviewed by reflecting on one's own actions and examining the applicability of psychological findings to solve practical professional tasks.
Supervision: Students are supervised by licensed psychotherapists or child and adolescent psychotherapists.
Institution: The professionally qualifying activity takes place in university outpatient clinics, psychotherapeutic, psychiatric, psychosomatic or neuropsychological care facilities or in interdisciplinary treatment centers with a focus on psychotherapy, which have been recognized as internship institutions by the examination board. In addition, the aforementioned supervision must be guaranteed.
You can currently obtain a place in one of 13 different cooperation clinics in the area of (partial) inpatient BQT III. Both the adult and the child and adolescent sector are available. All guideline procedures are also represented. The outpatient internship usually takes place in the outpatient clinic of the University of Siegen.
Example of the outpatient internship (2KLIMA09): You will not only participate in patient consultations, but also prepare sessions independently. The follow-up takes place with the respective assigned teaching therapist. Each teaching therapist holds a group supervision session once a week. The same group of students also organizes an intervision group once a week. The theory-practice transfer is rounded off by intensive preparation for the licensing examination (2KLIMA06). The revision course repeats content and recreates examination requirements.
