Spring School "Ecology and transformation: challenges in business and society"
Why spring school?
The challenges of the 21st century pose profound changes for the economy and society alike. Worsening climate change, scarcity of resources, economic stagnation, social inequalities and polarization make it clear that the current growth model is reaching its limits. Sustainable management is therefore more than just a buzzword - it is a central guiding principle that requires a comprehensive change in production, consumption and institutional structures.
But how can the economy and society in Germany, Europe and the world be made sustainable? What role do actors such as local authorities, interest groups, companies, NGOs, other organizations and individuals play in this? The aim is to understand the interactions between ecological, economic and social dimensions and to discuss options for action for different stakeholder groups.
The Spring School is dedicated to the central issues of sustainable management and social transformation. Current challenges will be analyzed in an interdisciplinary framework and solutions from business, politics and civil society will be discussed.
