Around November 25, people, cities and institutions around the world are calling on the UN "Orange the World" campaign to make violence against women visible and take a firm stand against it. The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women marks the start of the campaign weeks. The University of Siegen is also taking part with visible and substantive campaigns.

"Violence against women and girls is a problem for society as a whole. As a university, we have a responsibility to take a stand - and that is exactly what we are doing," emphasize Rector Prof. Stefanie Reese and Chancellor Iris Litty. "By participating in the campaign, we want to help raise awareness of and mobilize against this form of violence."
