on the structure of the Master's program
The Master's degree program in Psychology with a focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy aims to deepen and expand the basic psychological skills and knowledge acquired in the Bachelor's degree program. Students acquire the ability to work independently using scientific methods and are prepared for professional practice as a psychotherapist. At the end of the course, students take the licensing examination.
The contents of the curriculum include
1. in-depth research methodological skills
- Statistical procedures (especially multivariate procedures), methods of evaluation and computer-assisted data collection, modeling and analysis
- Advanced psychological diagnostics
- Application to empirical data sets from psychotherapy research
- Implementation of a research project in the context of research into psychological, psychosomatic and neuropsychological illnesses and their psychotherapeutic treatment
2. in-depth basic psychological skills
3. in-depth application psychology skills
- Special disorder and procedural theory, in-depth knowledge of applied psychotherapy
- Specialization in psychological diagnostics, writing expert reports
- Professionally qualifying work in a psychotherapeutic outpatient clinic and psychiatric (partial) inpatient facility
- 3-semester accompanying module to acquire psychotherapeutic skills
