Understanding the energy of the future through play

Since 2015, the "Haus der Wissenschaft" has been home to formats that transfer knowledge from the university to the wider public.
These include the public lecture series "Forum Siegen" as well as the "Mittwochsakademie" as a citizens' study program. At Poetry@Rubens - Faculty I's reading series in cooperation with the Apollo Theater - renowned authors are guests twice a year (alternating between poetry and prose).
The Christa-und-Dieter-Lange-Stiftung finances two further reading formats - YoungPoetry and InternationalPoetry (bilingual). The Children's University Siegen has also found its place under the umbrella of the HDW. Twice a year - in March and September - four events are offered for girls and boys between the ages of eight and twelve under one overall theme.
The "House of Science" accompanies, advises and supports the formats in terms of programme design, organization, administration, public relations and marketing and designs new event formats. This includes "Saturdays at 12" - a colorful program of events around knowledge and science at the best market time in Siegen.
The House of Science is located on the entrance floor of Villa Sauer, Obergraben 23, in the heart of Siegen. You are cordially invited to visit us in person with your questions, suggestions and criticism!
Computers are omnipresent in many areas of life. Writing emails, online banking, using apps - there are so many ways to use them. Not everything always runs smoothly, not everyone is a digital native and is familiar with programs and technology.
The House of Science is therefore offering a new support service. On the first Wednesday of every month, a student assistant is available in the House of Science at the University of Siegen (Villa Sauer), Obergraben 23, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. to provide uncomplicated assistance with minor and possibly also major application difficulties with the PC or cell phone. Simply drop by or register in advance with the HDW office, Ms. Karin Gipperich, Tel. 0271-7402689, Mail: karin.gipperich@uni-siegen.de.
