The rich and differentiated research landscape in the Schools's disciplines leads to a large number of high-ranking research achievements in a wide variety of fields.

The research achievements are demonstrated, among other things, by nationally and internationally visible publications, conference contributions and the organization of conferences, the supervision of doctoral and post-doctoral theses, as well as the development, acquisition and supervision of third-party funded research projects.

Habilitation

The habilitation at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities enables academics with a doctorate to acquire independent teaching and research skills. This process includes writing a habilitation thesis and teaching courses. Successful habilitation candidates qualify for professorships and contribute to the academic community through innovative research and teaching.
