Start of studies: winter semester 2025/2026

Dear first semester students,

We look forward to welcoming you to the Faculty I: Faculty of Arts and Humanities for the winter semester 2025/26.

To make it easier for you to start your studies, you will find a range of important dates and information on this page. These aids will help you to familiarize yourself more easily with the structures of the degree programme.

In any case, we recommend that you take advantage of the subject-specific first semester orientation (6 to 9 October 2025) with the advisory services offered by the subject representatives and the phil: Student Advisory Service (events in presence) and make a note of them now (the exact dates are expected to be published here at the end of August).
In addition, from 22 to 24 September 2025, preliminary timetable consultations will be held for our Bachelor's degree programmes in presence or online via Webex. You can register here.

You can find information and dates for the first semester introduction for the teaching degree program on the homepage of the Center for Teacher Education and Educational Research.
You can find information on the student first semester introduction of the student councils GGLaBaMa and SLM on the respective Instagram channels.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us and use the information options provided by the FacultyI: Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

We wish you a good start to your studies and a successful time at university!

Best regards,
Your phil: Student Advisory Service
