Prospective students must successfully complete an admission procedure consisting of a three-hour written examination.
The exam primarily tests the ability to develop independent philosophical arguments and the ability to present arguments in a linguistically clear form.
Preparation
To prepare for the exam, we recommend the book by Gregor Damschen and Dieter Schönecker "Selbst philosophieren. Ein Methodenbuch", Berlin 2012 is recommended.
By studying this book, candidates can familiarize themselves with the nature of philosophy and, in particular, learn what an argument is and how to evaluate it.
Knowledge of the structure of arguments should enable candidates to cope with possible examination tasks of the following type:
- Argue for or against euthanasia,
- Argue for or against torture,
- Argue for or against abortion,
- or similar questions
