Exam date

If you have received an invitation from the Registrar's Office of the University of Siegen, you can request the exam on July 22, 2026 from 1:45 p.m. by e-mail via the following e-mail address, which will be sent to you immediately as an attachment in a reply e-mail:

You can return your typed exam in PDF format as an attachment to the same e-mail address by 4 p.m. on July 22, 2026 at the latest.

You are responsible for meeting the deadline of 4 pm.

Note: For organizational and content-related reasons, no alternative or repeat dates will be offered.

The examination in the field of social sciences is a 2-hour written examination. There is a choice of three questions from the three subject areas listed below (one question per subject area). One of these questions must be dealt with in the written examination. If you fail the exam, you can only take it again the following year.

The following topics are available:

  • Changes in the family
  • Demographic development in the Federal Republic of Germany
  • Gender equality

Preparation

To prepare for the topics of the examination, we recommend reading the following literature:

The literature will not be provided, it must be obtained independently by the applicants.
