Tuition at the University of Siegen

You have applied for enrollment at the University of Siegen for the 2026/27 winter semester or would like to re-enroll for the 2026/27 winter semester. We’re very pleased to hear that! Your enrollment or re-enrollment will take effect once you have paid the semester fee of €393.80 intothe account listed below.

International students enrolled in a German language course (the preparatory German course for the DSH exam—not the intensive course before the start of the semester) should also transfer an additional 500.00 €, for a total of 893.80 €.

Have you applied for enrollment at the University of Siegen and already received the welcome email with all the useful information about starting your studies, including your student ID number and payment request? If so, please transfer the semester fee to the bank account listed below as soon as possible to complete your enrollment and gain access to all features of unisono
. Your matriculation number is now also your unisono username. Your password has not changed. Once your payment has been processed, you will receive an email with confirmation and further information.

Are you already a student at the University of Siegen and would like to re-enroll? If so, please transfer the semester fee to the bank account listed below by September 3, 2026. If the payment is not received by this date, an additional late fee of €10.00 will be charged. Please note that there are circumstances that may prevent you from re-registering (re-registration block). You can check whether this is the case in your unisono account (My Studies → Student Services → Restrictions). If this is the case, you should contact your advisor at the Student Affairs Office

The semester fee consists of:

  • Germany Semester Ticket: €226.80 (You can find more information here)
  • Solidarity contribution: 7.00 €
  • Studierendenwerk social contribution: 140.00 €
  • AStA fee: 20.00 €
  • Additional fee for international students in the German language course: 500.00
