Department of English

The Department of English at the University of Siegen offers a comprehensive education in the fields of literary and cultural studies, didactics of the English language, linguistics and language practice. Here, students are encouraged to think interdisciplinarily and develop creative approaches to explore the diverse aspects of the English-speaking world.

Research at the department focuses on current issues and challenges within these four fields. Our staff and students actively contribute to the academic debate and work on innovative projects that encompass both theoretical and practical dimensions. The aim is to gain new insights and enrich teaching and learning processes in the English language.
