Open Access publication platforms

The Siegen University Library supports the publication of open access journals and monographs with the help of the open source software Open Journals Systems (OJS) and Open Monograph Press (OMP)

OA-Infrastructure.nrw

As part of the state-wide OA-Infrastruktur.nrw, together with the Hochschulbibliothekzentrum (hbz)
we provide a technical infrastructure for the publication of Open Access journals and monographs.

Publish an open access journal

We help with the founding of a new OA journal or take over the hosting of existing journals.
The Open Journal Systems (OJS) software serves as a technical platform for managing and publishing scientific journals. In OJS, all steps of the publication process can be mapped, from the submission of an article to its peer review, publication and subsequent indexing.

denkste: puppe / just a bit of: doll

The idea for the journal was born in the context of a multidisciplinary 'doll conference' held at the University of Siegen at the end of 2013 entitled "Dolls - human companions in children's worlds and imaginary spaces". The journal sees itself as an open platform for science- and experience-based (research) approaches that refer to texts, images and in-scene settings by and about dolls, figures and anthropomorphic artifacts.
