Children's University - The Nebra Sky Disk - Alina Ettrich and colleagues
The Nebra Sky Disk is a circular bronze plate
with images of, for example, the sun, moon and stars made of gold, which is considered to be the oldest concrete depiction of the sky known to date. It is estimated to be between 3700 and 4100 years old. It was discovered on July 4, 1999 by excavators
in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt
found. The Nebra Sky Disk has been a UNESCO World Heritage Sitein Germany since June 2013.
