Spanish, Linguistic Theory, and Access for the Bilingual Child
In his talk, Patrick Thane will elaborate on how US Spanish-speaking children acquire their heritage language and how this research improves our understanding of bilingual development and the identification of developmental language disorder (DLD). The talk highlights recent findings on grammar acquisition in bilingual settings and their implications for education and clinical practice.
