Reopening of the LEOwiese
After an extended construction phase, the time has finally come: The University of Siegen’s LEOwiese is once again open to students and staff. The reopening is intended to firmly re-establish the redesigned space within campus life while also highlighting the importance of well-being in everyday student and work life.
The reopening on July 2, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., invites all members of the university community to rediscover the LEOwiese. Free drinks, fresh waffles, and grilled sausages (€3, cash only), along with games, sports, and a relaxed picnic atmosphere, will ensure a pleasant get-together. It’s simply an open gathering to unwind, connect, and enjoy yourself right in the heart of campus.
