Artificial intelligence has long since arrived in research and teaching. The
key to the practical and research-related use of AI lies in
prompt engineering, the art of specifically guiding AI to achieve precise and
high-quality results.
In this interactive workshop, participants experience AI as a
practical assistant that is controlled by targeted prompts. The
training environment is provided by the "Prompt Coach" app, in
which participants explore, test
and evaluate a variety of prompting techniques, such as Active Prompt (iterative refinement), Tree-of-
Thought (systematic decomposition) or Maieutic Prompting (critical
questioning).
The prompts used are applied to research and teaching tasks
, for example to create teaching materials, to structure
scientific texts, to develop and concretize
research questions and concepts or to design innovative
didactic and scientific concepts. Participants discuss and
reflect on best practices, practise and critically evaluate
the results. Content is designed to suit the target group and with
consideration of ethical and legal aspects such as copyright and
data protection. In this way, prompt engineering is tested in practice,
analyzed and critically reflected upon, and the skills gained
can be directly transferred to the participants' own research and teaching.
