The aim of the conference is to bring together two current lines of research on Cassirer’s philosophy that typically pay too little attention to one another: one focused on mathematics and the other on the philosophy of culture. This will be achieved by examining key conceptual frameworks, each of which will be explored from both perspectives. 

The conference is planned as an in-person event. Participants are asked to register by email with Mr. Koenig (koenig@mathematik.uni-siegen.de). We may decide at short notice whether to offer a live stream of the conference as well.

Participating early-career researchers may be eligible for funding from the DFG to cover their travel and accommodation expenses. Interested individuals are asked to submit a brief letter of motivation and their CV by August 15, 2022, to koenig@mathematik.uni-siegen.de.
