As of today, you can once again submit a hardship application to have the mobility contribution for your semester ticket refunded. This is about 212,80 Euro! Just visit the necessary links further down on this page. The deadline for first-year students is 24.05.2026, for all others 26.04.2026.!!!
Starting today, you can once again submit a hardship application to get a refund for the mobility contribution on your semester ticket. We're talking about 212.80 euros! Just visit the necessary links at the bottom of this page. The deadline for first-year students is 24 May 2026, and for everyone else, it's 26 April 2026.
Reasons for submitting an application may include
- Severely disabled with a G note or valid token for free use of public transport
- Cases of hardship, such as students with a child or children
- foreign students with a restricted work permit...

Further important information
Income circumstances must be disclosed when submitting the application. The application period ends on the last working day of the week after the start of the lecture period. The exact date will be announced by the Social Department. Documents can be sent by e-mail to sozref@asta.uni-siegen.de
by e-mail. The student e-mail address must be used.
We will be happy to provide you with further information in the Social Department.
There is the current so-called hardship regulation, which regulates the conditions under which you will be reimbursed the fee. In cases of doubt, the Hardship Commission will decide.
