Proof of practical activities

According to FPO-B (2022) § 4 (3) and § 9 (4), the requirements for admission to the Civil Engineering degree course include relevant practical activities totaling 12 weeks. The practical activities should be completed before the start of the course, but must be completed by the end of the third semester at the latest. The semester corresponds to the semester shown in brackets after the Bachelor's degree program in unisono.

At least 6 weeks of the practical activities must be completed on construction sites, up to 6 weeks may be completed as office work. The practical activities are not part of the degree program and are not counted towards the standard period of study (link below).

If the practical activities according to § 4 paragraph 3 are not proven by the end of the third semester at the latest, no first attempt at a module examination from the fourth semester can be taken until the practical activities have been proven. In individual cases, the Examination Board may decide on admission to an examination upon application.

At its meeting on 29.05.2024, the Examination Board decided to adhere to the aforementioned deadlines. An application for admission to an examination should therefore only be approved once per student.

This application must explain the extent to which internship periods are missing, why the internship has not yet been fully completed and what the further planning is.
