At the 2026 staff party, the Chair of Geotechnical Engineering competed in the soccer-golf team event with the team “The Soil Strikers.” Kachallah Kau, Shuai Zhang, and Nico Thoma represented the chair. With plenty of team spirit, precision, and a dash of surprise, the team managed to take first place. The victory capped off a successful afternoon and showed that the department is just as on target outside the lab, teaching, and research.
