New Publication on Life Events and Relationship Satisfaction

A new study shows that couples often have similar perceptions of moving in together—and that this alignment is linked to higher relationship satisfaction.

Sharing the experience of moving in together strengthens the relationship

Karla Fliedner, Janina Larissa Bühler, Cornelia Wrzus, Louisa Scheling, and Kai T. Horstmann have published a new article titled "Similarity of Major Life-Event Perceptions and Relationship Satisfaction among Romantic Couples: The Case of Moving in Together". The study shows that romantic partners tend to have similar perceptions of the shared life event of moving in together and that greater similarity in these perceptions is associated with higher relationship satisfaction.
