New version of the guidelines on the working conditions of academic and student assistants assistants

The following applies to reseach assisstants (WHK = Wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft) at the University of Siegen:

• Monthly flat-rate remuneration for WHKs per hour of average weekly working time:
  • currently: €18.50
  • from 1 April 2026: €20.10
  • from 1 April 2027: €21.00
• Monthly flat-rate remuneration for WHBs (with bachelor's degree) per hour of average weekly working time:
  • currently: €15.50
  • from 1 April 2026: €16.90
  • from 1 April 2027: €17.60
• Remuneration is paid retrospectively at the end of each month.
• No further payments or supplements will be made.
• Calculation of the monthly flat-rate remuneration:
  • Hourly rate × factor 4.348 × agreed average weekly working hours as per the employment contract.

The following applies to student assistants (SHK = Studentische Hilfskraft) at the University of Siegen:

• Monthly flat-rate remuneration for student assistants on university degree programmes, per hour of average weekly working time:
  • currently: €14.00
  • from 1 April 2026: €15.20
  • from 1 April 2027: €15.90
• Remuneration is paid retrospectively at the end of each month.
• No further payments or supplements will be made.
• Calculation of the monthly flat-rate remuneration:
  • Hourly rate × factor 4.348 × agreed average weekly working hours as per the employment contract.
