From May 31 to June 20, 2025, the motto in Siegen-Wittgenstein is once again: Saddle up and collect kilometers! The University of Siegen is once again taking part in the nationwide CITY CYCLING campaign and cordially invites all university members to join the university team. It is also possible to create your own sub-teams within the main team, e.g. for faculties, working groups, service facilities, etc. Registration is now open at stadtradeln.de.

STADTRADELN is an initiative of the Climate Alliance with the aim of cycling as many everyday journeys as possible in a climate-friendly way - whether on the way to the lecture hall or the office, when shopping or in your free time. Anyone can take part, whether you are a frequent or occasional cyclist.

Rector Prof. Dr. Stefanie Reese is hoping for lively participation from the university community: "CITY CYCLING is a wonderful opportunity to get active together, make your everyday life more climate-friendly and do something for your health at the same time. I would be delighted if many members of our university joined the team again - because every kilometer counts."

Participation is free of charge. The kilometers cycled are entered into the kilometer book via the CITY CYCLING homepage or the CITY CYCLING app and are thus included in the overall result. During the campaign period, numerous cycle tours and campaigns are also planned in the region to provide additional motivation. These will be announced gradually at stadtradeln.de/siegen. And: Attractive prizes will be raffled off among all participants.

Register now, cycle along and set an example - for more sustainability, health and community!
