University didactic methods from A to Z
The "Methods from A-Z" are not learning material to be memorized, but a method kit for university teaching.
The basic idea behind it is didactically clearly structured:
The didactic concept describes the "what" (learning objectives and content), the method the "how" (concrete implementation).
This means:
Teachers do not select methods at random, but in line with their learning objectives.
What are the methods used for?
The collection includes practical formats that make courses more effective, e.g:
- Activation of students (e.g. think-pair-share)
- Deepening knowledge through application and exchange
- Stimulating discussions
- Incorporating feedback to monitor learning
Such methods help to make learning active and competence-oriented.
The ZFH methods are a flexible tool designed to help teachers implement their didactic goals in practice - no more, but also no less.
