Study program
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) - Civil Engineering
When you think of the profession of civil engineer, the classic activities often come to mind first: the planning, construction and maintenance of buildings, bridges, roads or sewer networks. However, civil engineering encompasses far more than these traditional fields. It combines technology, sustainability and innovation - from flood protection and digital construction processes to the development of new building materials.

Your future begins in Siegen
If you enjoy mathematics and science, you have the best prerequisites for studying civil engineering. The Bachelor's degree course in Civil Engineering is divided into three sections that build on each other:
- Study section I lays the foundation: here students acquire the mathematical and scientific basics and immerse themselves in the diverse topics of civil engineering for the first time.
- Study section II provides broad basic knowledge in central subject areas such as structural engineering, transportation, water management and construction site management.
- In the third section - the last two semesters - students decide on a specialization: they can choose between structural engineering, water management or transportation.
