Artificial intelligence and literature research
In the two-part workshop "Artificial intelligence and literature research", we show how generative AI tools can be used specifically and responsibly for scientific research.
In the first part (basics), the central principles of generative AI will be presented. The focus is on opportunities and risks - for example in relation to data protection, copyright and bias - as well as criteria for a reflective and responsible use of AI-supported applications in studies.
The second part (in-depth) focuses on practical application: participants expand their knowledge of prompting, test various AI-supported research tools (including (including licensed offers from Siegen University Library) and develop a viable research strategy for their own topic at various stations.
Note: Participation in the basic workshop is a prerequisite for attending the in-depth workshop.
